Do You Need to Pay Sales Tax?

Web Design by Dave is based in Connecticut and follows all applicable state tax regulations. In Connecticut, website services like design, development, hosting, and maintenance are considered computer and data processing services and are subject to a 1% sales tax. If you’re located outside of Connecticut and your business doesn’t have any operations or customers here, you may not be charged this tax.

However, if we provide a significant volume of services to clients in a particular state, we may be required to collect and remit sales tax in that state under its economic nexus laws. Nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations are generally not subject to sales tax, but please provide the necessary documentation if applicable, and we will ensure no sales tax is charged.
